Exam Fee Schedule*

A routine eye health and refractive exam costs between $0 to $140.00, with BC Medical Coverage. BC residents who are eligible for MSP benefits have a reduced fee. If you do not have BC medical, the eye exam fees range from $50-$170, depending on your age.

Please arrive 20 minutes before your doctor time for pre-testing and checking in.

On the day of your appointment, please be prepared...

  • To arrive 20 minutes early
  • Bring/wear any glasses you use
  • Wear your contact lenses and bring your contact lenses boxes
  • Bring your Carecard (BC medical Card) and insurance info
  • Bring a list of your medications/vitamins
  • Contact us prior to your appointment if you have a Status Number
  • Patients 40 yrs and above may have dilation drops as part of their examination, and it is recommended to bring a driver with them for the appointment.

**Exams for patients 40 and over include Ocular Coherance Tomography (OCT) scans. OCT is a technology that allows our doctors to further evaluate the health of our patients’ aging eyes.

*Note: Contact lens wearers pay an additional $29 for exams. Extra fees may also apply for patients with particular ocular conditions and needs. Please contact our office for an exact quote.
